Turning Into Mark

My reading list is starting to look more and more like Mark's reading list, thanks to my current workload. A quick look at my Google Reader will show more subscriptions to SEO and Internet-related blogs than any other blog category. Gadget and tech blogs are also catching up, with almost daily visits to Techmeme, Techcrunch, Techradar, and now...Lifehacker. Its crazy because these are the very blogs I found so utterly boring even as Mark found them fascinating(?). I am pleased though with what's happening because there are lots of upsides to the forced evolution of my reading habits...

  1. I'm learning a lot of new things.
  2. I'm actually starting to gain interest in tech stuff!
  3. It will hopefully give me and Mark more common interests (or at least I'll understand what he's talking about more).
Who knows, I might end up being a techie yet? Not!

My SEO daily reads by the way are:

Google Webmaster Central Blog
Phoenixrealm
SEO by the SEA
SEO Book
SEOmoz Blog - Don't bother much with YouMoz since the excellent posts there are upgraded to the SEOmoze blog anyway.
Yahoo! Search Marketing Blog

So many more blogs on my reading list, but these are the ones I find myself visiting most often.

Samar Trip

My first business trip ever. Yay!

Posted by Picasa

Alam ko mas mukhang bakasyon, but can I help it if the place was utterly beautiful?

Places/Things I saw/visited:
  • San Juanico Bridge - So excited about this kasi since bata pa tinuturo na sa School.
  • Limestone formations in Marabut - Sa tabi-tabi lang pero ang ganda!
  • BFAR center in Samar - They culture abalone, king crabs, and lapu-lapu there.
  • Surf Camp - The Aboitiz-owned resort was stunning.
  • Endless beaches.
  • McArthur landing site (ano ba tawag dito?)
  • Imelda's house - We didn't stop by to visit though so glimpse lang nito.
Yummy stuff I ate:
  • Kilawin na tanigue - Kakaiba kilawin dun may gata...yummm...
  • Ormoc pineapples - Really small and didn't look good but they were really sweet and hindi makati sa dila.
  • Moron - Hindi yung tao. Yung suman na may tsokolate ang kalahati.
  • Sumang gabi - I don't know what it's called but it's the best suman ever. May nuts and butter and ewan ko pa.
Other things I enjoyed:
  • The swimming dog
  • The fisher folk - Grabe best best bunch of people to travel with. Mabilis mag work and all so friendly, genuine, hardworking and with a good life story to tell.
  • Tuba - Sipped just a little. It was surprisingly good...sweet. Fresh from harvest kasi daw.
  • Taking pictures - Nakaka-addik pala mag kuha ng pictures pag super ganda ng tanawin!

Quality Time is Just an Excuse

Hi Guys. Just want to plug my latest post in Froodee. The topic has been bugging me for ages now and I finally got it of my chest. Head on to Froodee to read about my take on quality time.

Been meaning to blog about the following things:

1. Tweaking/Updating my blog - Add tags on ALL my previous posts. Add blogroll. Make the FSMA image clickable. Tag cloud.

2. A dream - I dreamed of Ian and Thea. ^_^

3. PWS Support Group - Sam's geneticist contacted me about it and we're going to have a preliminary meeting sometime this June.

4. Work - not really...it'll just be a whiny scardey (how the hell do you spell this word?) cat post

5. Finding out how broccoli was spelled

6. Sam's new yaya - She spends more time cleaning the house and doing odd jobs, which is just the way I want it.

7. Sam's upcoming birthday - No definite plans yet.

8. Pissed Off Housewife and Kris - No they are not related but they're the only bloggers I read regularly outside our circle.

9. Investing.

Support My Career

Yes my dear friends I do have a career aside from being a wife and mom. I actually didn't think of it as a career but a job but it seems to be turning into one. You see i am a writer even if I'm not. I write web content and get paid for blogging. I don't consider myself to be a writer because writers are people who put magic into words. I on the other hand, simply profit from words. This is not to say that i don't enjoy writing because I do sometimes. I especially love writing in this blog because this isn't part of work.

Anyway for the first time I am blogging in a community blog under my own name. I am writing for Froodee and take care of the Family Life section. The blog is still being developed but do stop by to support moi. Leave comments and subscribe if you want to. Aside from Froodee I maintain several blogs but am not supposed to get the credit.

For those who haven't seen this April's issue of Working Mom, try to get a peek at page 76 to see a big picture of Sam. Will be posting the very same picture there when I get home. I'm at my uncle's wake right now. Scandalized? Don't be I only got the courage to use the PC that's beside my uncle's coffin after I saw the people here using it to surf and play games. Are we weird?

It's almost morning. I'm getting weird from lack of sleep. Better stop while I still make a bit of sense if not much. Night world.

We love you Tito Bing. You are still the corniest Tito I've ever had. We'll miss your tall tales.
